Release Notes for Version 6.08, released June 18,
2004
This release contains a number of minor enhancements and one correction. The correction applies to Florida child support in the "shared custody" situation where the number of overnights with the non-custodial parent is 40% or higher.
Enhancements and corrections:
1. Florida "shared custody." In this case, we were double-counting the obligor's credit for health and child care payments. That has been fixed in this release.
2. Florida percent of overnights. We clarified (and now programmatically assure) that the percent of overnights with the non-custodial parent may not exceed 50%. We also added text clarifying that we want the percent of overnights, not the number of overnights. And we added explanatory text.
3. Florida child support amounts. We now blank out the child support bottom line for the non-payer parent, which makes the child support chart easier to read. In the regular custody case, we also blank out payments towards health care and child care for the custodial parent. (Only the non-custodial parent's payments count; this clarifies the form.)
4. Wages. Now, if you use the wage method with jumps and declines, and you specify that you want to fill blank fields at a level or inflation-adjusted rate, we stop the salary at retirement age. You may still manually enter salary income after the retirement age.
5. Pensions. The display of "separate" percent was sometimes showing "1%" instead of "100%." This was not affecting any calculations, and it has been fixed.
