Release Notes for Version 10.08 Build 389.01, released Nov 14, 2008 Illinois Affidavits. The latest version contains Illinois affidavits for five counties: Cook, DuPage, McHenry, Lake, and Sangamon. Any data that you enter in the "Enter Data Here" section will carry to the Affidavit. To select the affidavit you want, click the new link in the left margin entitled "Affidavit Header." "New Case" button. We have added a "New Case" button on the Quick Child Support calculator. This is very useful for people who may want quickly to do a child-support calculation (perhaps with a client over the telephone). It will also be useful for court support staff personnel who are doing one child-support calculation after another. Budget Report Monthly. When the budget report columns are being displayed in either "monthly" or "weekly" time frames, the software now will use the current payment for mortgage, child-support, and spousal support. Previously, the software would always use 1/12 or 1/52 of the annual amount as the monthly or weekly amount, respectively. These numbers will be the same if the expense exists throughout the year. But if there is a new mortgage during the year, or child-support or spousal support that begins during that year, then the current amount will be different than 1/12 of the annual amount for the calendar year. If the budget report columns are "weekly/monthly/annual," then the amounts in the monthly and weekly columns will still be one 12th and 1/52 of the annual amount, so that those columns are internally consistent. For this reason, the bottom line of the monthly and weekly reports now may be different than 1/12 or 1/52 of the After-Tax Cash, as shown in the other Reports in the software. Marital and Separate Property Report. We have improved the Marital and Separate Property Report. Now, the report has the following columns: Total Equity, Marital Equity, First Party Separate Equity, Second Party Separate Equity. Budget Report Other Fixes and improvements. We made the following additional fixes and improvements to the Budget Report.
Real Estate Not Currently Owned. We clarified, on the Real Estate Details screen, that a property that is "not currently owned" is a property that will be purchased but has not yet been purchased. Real Estate Mortgage Allocable to Rental Real Estate. We changed the default for the percent of a mortgage that applies to a real estate activity to be 0%. Previously, the default had been 100%. What If Analysis Default Child Support End Date. If no children had been entered, but child support was entered in the What If Analysis, we were defaulting the child support end date to an out-of-bounds month and year. We now default to December, in a year 18 years from now. Spousal Support Quarterly. It is now possible to enter spousal support "quarterly," as well as monthly and annually. Missouri Child Support Guideline updates: We implemented the following updates in the Missouri Child support guidelines:
NY Child Support, Health Insurance worksheet. We added a new option to calculate child's share of health insurance as: total cost of health insurance less cost of an individual plan. We also clarified the Health Insurance Worksheet, so that it should be more clear how the calculations are working, and which entries are our guesses and may be appropriate to be overridden. NY Child Support, Child Care. The child support total was not updating instantly after the entry of child care payments. That has been fixed. New York State Tax. We were incorrectly adding the federal itemized deductions for purposes of the New York State Tax Calculation, when we should have been subtracting them. The result in some cases was an improperly low calculation of New York state tax. That has been fixed. IRA/401(k) Liquidations. In years in which IRA was being liquidated, and there was also a regular retirement distribution, it was possible for the IRA balance to fall below zero. That has been fixed. FICA Calculation. FICA was not calculating correctly in an interim release. We fixed that. Marital Property Division Report. On the Marital Property Division Report, we made the following fixes and improvements:
Alimony Calculator. The alimony calculator was not recalculating when you clicked to go to the screen; it was necessary to enter a number to get it to update. Now it updates whenever you visit the screen. Florida Affidavit. We have added the
"Certificate of Service" to the Florida affidavit section. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
