Don't Hesitate To Get Another Lawyer

Remember, your lawyer works for you. You pay the bills. You can pull the plug.

If you're going to change lawyers, it's best to do it early on. You'll probably notice the conflict in styles early on, and that's a good time to act.

When you're going to change lawyers, the best thing to do is to tell your lawyer that you think your styles are not a good fit and that you're going to find another lawyer. If you can't do that, you can find another lawyer and let the new lawyer tell the old lawyer.

On the other hand, if you have more than two (or three) lawyers, a judge may think you have a problem, and that may hurt your bargaining position.

So, by all means change lawyers if you picked a bad one, but be careful about too much lawyer-hopping.
