Playing Fair
In almost every case, it is best to play fair. Do not:
-
Change title to any assets.
-
Raid the safe deposit box.
-
Run up the credit card.
-
Cut off support.
-
Interfere with access to the children.
-
Disparage the other parent with the children.
-
Take or threaten legal action.
Any of these things is likely to backfire if you do get divorced.
Your spouse will become vindictive, with no good results. And a
judge will look unfavorably on a spouse who has done any of these things.
