How
do I save my data?
The program automatically saves your data each time you click onto a
different tab, and each time you exit the program.

My
computer crashed before I could exit. Can I recover my data?
To attempt to recover your data try the following:
Start the Family Law Software Planner and select File/Open. Look for your file there.
If you see it, double-click it.
If this does not work, read on...
Using the Windows Explorer (not the
Internet Explorer), look in the directory labeled \program files\flsplan\system\temp
Look for a file with your file name and the extension
".bk1."
If you find that file, copy that file to the same file name but with
the extension ".fls." (To do that, click your right mouse
button on the file and select "Copy." Then select the
directory \program files\flsplan\ and select Edit /
Paste. A copy of the file will appear in the file list. Then right-click on
the new file and select "Rename." Then type your file
name, followed by ".fls.") Then start the Family Law
Software Planner. If
your data does not appear, select File/Open, find the file you just copied
and renamed, and double-click on it.
If you do not find a file with your file name and the extension
".bk1," look for a file called "untitled.fls."
Using an approach similar to that explained in the preceding paragraph,
rename "untitled.fls" to some other name (like alice.fls).
Start the program. Select File/Open and double-click on the name you
chose (which in this example would be "alice.fls").
